Our fleet consists of a full range of fully equipped state of the art moving equipment to fit your needs. We have locations in Dawson Creek, British Columbia, Fort St. John, British Columbia, Grande Prairie, Alberta, and Jasper, Alberta and offer professional moving services to all points in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, as well as the Yukon and Northwest Territories. Through our affiliation with United Van Lines we can offer professional moving services anywhere in Canada, United States, North America and worldwide.

Martin family history

The Martin Family began operating as Advantage Relocation Systems Ltd. on May 1, 1991 but the family's moving experience started back in 1949. Gil Martin purchased his first truck in Edmonton, Alberta in 1949, and began to do work for MacCosham Van Lines. Gil continued to work as an owner operator until he was hired on as a company driver and began making the lengthy trips East between Calgary and Toronto. He continued as a driver until he entered the sales department in Edmonton in 1963. 

The company saw a great potential in Gil and offered him a manager’s position in Dawson Creek, BC in 1969. With his family of six at his side they made the move. Gil's wife, Eldien worked for the company from 1977 until she passed away in March 2007. Their sons entered the moving industry at a very young age, starting out as helpers and each eventually ending up as drivers for the branch, learning all the skills that Dad had to teach. 

David, the eldest son became an owner operator in 1981, Don in 1984, and Tim, the youngest to follow in 1986. Gil managed the Dawson Creek and Fort St. John offices for MacCosham until he retired in 1987, when his oldest son, David followed his father’s footsteps and accepted the manager’s position. David pushed for changes for the company, and MacCosham offered to sell the branches in Dawson Creek and Fort St. John in January, 1991, and that was the beginning of Advantage Relocation Systems Ltd. 

Today, twenty years later, the company continues to grow. David has now moved on to other ventures and Don Martin has taken over his position managing the Dawson Creek and Fort St. John locations. Tim the youngest of the sons manages the Grande Prairie office.
